Reflection

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection
of ourselves we find in them.

Whimsical Art

I came across this Wire Sculpture at an art fair.
A living space can be enlightened by a
whimsical sculpture such as this.

“Lifestyle, personality, taste, hidden desires-
you have to analyze all of these things
before you can start designing in the correct way.
We begin at the beginning.”

- Sister Parish

Bridges

Fall foliage at Greenwich CT

As I was taking a stroll at my friend's
property at Greenwich,
looking at the beautiful foliage
and watching the leaves
falling down and resting on the ground
....
I have a few thoughts.

is to know which bridge to cross and which to burn"

Beautiful Fall Light

"I cannot endure to waste anything
as precious as autumn sunshine
by staying in the house.

So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air.

Jean Boggio's Furniture

Very whimsical! Very vivid! Very unique!
Chinoiserie!

That was what I thought when I first saw
Jean Boggio's furniture and accessories
at recent opening reception at Bergdorf Goodman.
Jean Boggio introduced himself to me and my guests,
Lynne and Olivier.

He was very lively, funny and expressive.
I could see some of these pieces at boutique hotel lobby and restaurant reception, foyer or a conversation piece in a living area, some of the accessories are adorable.

Afternoon Tea at Bernardaud

There are few hours in life more agreeable
then the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as
afternoon tea
~ Henry James 1843 - 1916 ~

Tea time is a delightful and simple practice that one can integrate into one's everyday living. It will bring joy and a few moments of peace to you and your loved one.

Afternoon tea began in England in the 18th century. It is a light mean serve typically between 3 - 5 pm. Traditionally, this light meal comprised of sandwiches such as cucumber, ham and salmon, scones served with clotted cream, assortments of cakes and pastries, and of course tea.
