Chanel Metiers d'Art Pre-Fall collection 2011-2012

Paris- Bombay

The annual Metiers d'Art collection is this year inspired by India, with its huge artistic and manufacturing inheritance, its jewels, its colours and its precious fabrics. The show was created at the luxurious palace of an Indian maharajah as the backdrop for its 'anti-gloomy" ready-to-wear collection.
Lagerfeld described the collection as "very elaborate, a lot more expensive than the normal ready-to-wear," evoking the fantasy of India.
