Modern Habitat

East Meets West

This composition
would embrace my design philosophy
bring the graciousness of tradition into
today's contemporary living.

Crystal goblets from Baccarat
it is a contemporary cut
elegant for any table setting in a home

Traditional design of cobalt blue with gold goblets
that would make a stunning table setting
even in today's living

Bartow-Pell Mansion

An afternoon @ The Bartow-Pell Mansion

...... is a New York City landmark and museum located in northern portion of Pelham Bay Park in The Bronx. Originally the Robert and Marie Lorillard Bartow House, the residence and estate date back to 1654. The Lords of the Manor of Pelham once owned the home which was later enlarged, renovated and remodeled in the Federal style. The current house was built between 1836 and 1842. Ownership of the house passed between the Bartow and Pell families until it was finally sold to the City of New York in 1888 by descendants of the Bartow family.

Water - Earth - Air - Wood

The naked earth is warm with spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
leans to the sun's gaze glorying,
and quivers in the sunny breeze.
- Julian Grenfell (1888 – 1915)

Above poem sketched the moment of this picture I run into this morning.
